More Disneyland

Of course Otto loved all sorts of Mickey shaped foods:

Tim had a turkey leg ("tastes like ham") and I had ratatouille bread and washed it down with coffee jelly and vanilla custard served over pastry crumbles:

One funny thing happened - we had passed by It's A Small World earlier in the day and the line was both huge and in the blazing sun so I agreed we would keep walking. Later, during our Jungle Cruise, I said I really didn't think I could leave Disneyland without going and our deal was 40 minutes or under, we go, 41 or above we skip. The line said 25 minutes! We got almost all the way to the boats when the line stopped moving. After about 10 minutes of standing there the loudspeaker came on and it was clear that the ride was broken. You should have seen Tim's smile! Then he had to take a picture of the people stranded in the boat just yards away from completing their journey around the world.

Sorry Grandpa Bill, Otto is a really bad shot - he only got 1 of 20 but don't tell him I told you:

After watching the parade of lights the day ended with a race through Space Mountain that was really a highlight - it was just as Tim and I remembered it, inside and out, and he ducked the whole way through scared of being decapitated. Otto came off with a huge grin after waving his arms around the whole time and the Japanese women who screamed their heads off the entire time really added to the experience! To make it even better, on the bus ride home Otto got to sit in the very front of the top level of the bus - he didn't enjoy the sights so much though, more the insides of his eyelids.

Waking him up to walk the 25 minutes home - now that was not the "happiest place on earth" though he did make it with very little whining although some whimpering. I hope he remembers it as the beautiful walk through the narrow paths someday the way I do...
